Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have expressed strong interest in Azam FC outcast Abdulai Iddrisu as part of efforts to solve their goalkeeping woes heading into the new season, according to latest reports.
Abdulai, had his contract terminated by the Tanzanian giants few weeks ago in what is described as lack of playing time having faced series of injuries during his time in East Africa
The 27-year-old joined the Bakers in the 2023 winter transfer window after a fantastic spell with Ghana Premier League side Bechem United- and was adjudged the league's best goalie in the 2021/22 football season.
Iddrisu Abdulai, after returning home, has now attracted interest from the Phobians with both parties already in negotiations looking to make the deal happen in the coming weeks.
The stalwart goalie made an impressive 18 clean sheets in 31 games for Bechem United last season in the Ghana Premier League and was indispensable in their run to the MTN FA Cup final in 2022.
