Highly-rated right back Michael Ampadu is very close to joining Ghanaian topflight side Asante Kotoko ahead of the new season, per multiple speculations.
The 24 year old has been sensational and arguably one of the best laterals the GPL has seen in recent years. He posses so much quality as he is able to race back and forth quickly to always augment the effort of his team both in defence and attack.
In the just ended season, the lanky right back was an integral member for Legon Cities, having made 29 appearances in the league only.
According to the latest, the former Liberty Professionals skipper is in negotiations with the giants and are very close to agreeing a deal.
His presence will definitely be really malleable for the Reds but will have to battle it out with Christopher Nettey and youngster Augustine Agyapong, if only he will want to be a mainstay in the starting line up.
He is currently part of the Black Galaxies squad at Prampram, preparing for the double header against the Benin Squirrels in the 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
