Asante Kotoko middleman, Richmond Lamptey has stated they won't be complacent after their precious win over bitter rivals Hearts of Oak last Sunday.
The 26-year-old exhibited a five-star performance against arch rivals Hearts of Oak over the weekend- one that has got the Ghanaian football fans talking.
He was really instrumental in Kotoko's win and marshalled the midfield so well to the level where lots of football people have started calling for his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON.
The Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down to beat Hearts of Oak by 2-3 at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday in GPL match-day 14.
Steven Mukwala had a brace coupled with another from Isaac Oppong. Linda Mtange and Martin Karikari got the two consolation for the Phobians.
Speaking in an interview, the ex- WAFA midfielder stated they are not swollen headed after the win they had last week and have now shifted their focus to the game against Great Olympics this weekend.
"We can’t be complacent after beating Hearts of Oak. I will urge my teammates to work extra hard in order for us to beat Great Olympics on Sunday” he told the club’s Media.
Asante Kotoko are currently on the 7th position with 22 points and will play as guests to the 'Dade' outfit in the next round of matches.
