Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko says midfielder Salim Adams deserves all the praise he is getting for his good performances this season.

Adams has been one of the best players in the Ghana Premier League, scoring 11 goals and making one assist in 26 matches. He was again important, scoring both goals in Medeama’s 2-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars.

The 23-year-old former Accra Hearts of Oak player is now seen as a strong contender for the Player of the Year award and is also being talked about for a possible call-up to the Ghana national football team.

Tanko said Adams has worked hard for his success and must continue to perform well.

“He is a professional player; definitely he worked for the hype that he is getting now. I hope that he will continue to do that because every game is a very tough game from now on,” he said.

“He is one player who is strong in mentality so I hope he will stay fit and keep on giving us the necessary goals we need.”

Medeama SC will next face Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday, May 6 as they continue their fight for the league title.
