Samartex coach Nurudeen Amadu leaving club due to bad results — reports

Ex-King Faisal gaffer Nurudeen Amadu set to resign as head coach of Samartex due to their current struggles in the Ghana Premier League, as reported by multiple sources.

The club finds itself languishing in the ninth-from-bottom position in the league table, amassing seventeen points from 13 matches after suffering a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Heart of Lions—marking their third straight defeat (4 losses).



Amadu, a former coach of Tamale Future Stars joined Samartex last July as part of the transformation of the club that took place with the arrival of Henry Wellington as assistant coach.



The Timber Giants won the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title in his first season in charge.



This year Samartex has failed to dominate the regular season, having managed four wins, five draws and four losses – a statistics that has infuriated some fans to criticize him.



Meanwhile, the source did not indicate what the "other reasons are" were that led to the decision for Amadu to consider leaving the club before the end of his two-year contract.
