FC Samartex 1996 have officially announced that Samuel Boateng has returned to his parent club, Asante Kotoko following the expiration of a six-month loan spell.

The 25-year-old striker has returned to the Porcupine Warriors after unsuccessful loan stint at FC Samartex 1996.

Boateng was farmed out to the Samreboi based outfit on a six-month loan contract with no option to buy by Asante Kotoko in January 2023.

He was loaned out by Asante Kotoko after struggling to break into the team's starting eleven in the first round of the 2022/23 season, where he made only seven appearances.

At FC Samartex, Boateng featured in 11 Premier League games for the Timber Giants during the loan stint.

The club's official statement reads “FC Samartex 1996 wishes to thank Samuel Boateng for his incredible dedication and love as our forward during the second round of the season.”

“We appreciate his priceless contributions to our team's success and wish him the best as he continues his career.”

Boateng has a contract with Asante Kotoko until 2024.
