Samuel Inkoom, the defender for Hearts of Oak, has acknowledged the team's efforts to address their goal-scoring struggles in the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
Scoring goals has been a significant challenge for the Ghanaian giants throughout the campaign. Despite being in fifth place on the league table, the Phobians have struggled to find the back of the net consistently.
Inkoom revealed that the coaching staff has been diligently working to rectify the issue. He mentioned that the team has been focusing on goal-scoring during training sessions at the Pobiman facility.
"We are putting a lot of emphasis on goal-scoring during our training sessions. If you come to Pobiman, you can witness it firsthand. The coaches are doing everything possible to help us improve our scoring abilities, but in football, there are times when things don't go as planned," Inkoom stated.
Hearts of Oak will face Medeama SC, who currently occupy the second position in the league, in their upcoming Week 31 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
