Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper and captain, Danlad Ibrahim, has expressed confidence in his former team’s chances of securing victory against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the highly anticipated Super Clash.
The two most decorated clubs in Ghanaian football history are set to face off at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, December 17, as part of matchday 13 of the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Danlad emphasized his belief that Kotoko will deliver a convincing performance and claim all three points as a special Christmas gift for their fans.
“It’s been a few years now that Hearts of Oak have struggled to win at Baba Yara Stadium against Asante Kotoko in the league, and I know the current players will beat Hearts with ease,” Danlad stated confidently.
“I trust the team, and In Sha Allah, Kotoko will use Hearts of Oak for Christmas,” he added.
Danlad Ibrahim, who now plays for Ethiopian Coffee in the Ethiopian Premier League, remains an avid supporter of the Porcupine Warriors and is hopeful the team will extend their dominance in this iconic rivalry.
The Super Clash promises to be an intense battle, with both teams eager to outshine the other in what is regarded as the biggest fixture in Ghanaian football.
