Charles Taylor, who played for both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko during his heir days, has recounted the famous 4-0 win in the Super-Clash where he featured for the Accra-based club and says they could have scored more but chose not to.
Ahead of Sunday’s Super-Clash, the biggest scoreline this fixture has ever recorded is that 4-0 win that happened 25 years ago and has been one of the biggest bragging right for the Rainbow Club.
With both teams currently on form and on an unbeaten run, many a Ghanaian football faithful are anticipating a very tough game with the two sides desperate to end each other’s invincibility.
Recounting on the game coming up, the legend says they were the better side in that big win and could have scored more but spoke to themselves and held on with some of the goals else it would have been worse.
"We could have scored more than 4 goals, but Osei Kuffour (General) told me we shouldn't score again. We could have scored Kotoko 6 or 7 goals that day”, he told Angel (102.9) FM in Accra.
The game is slated for 16:00GMT (4:00pm) on Sunday, November 9, at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
