Swedru All Blacks have secured a historic return to the Ghana Premier League after 16 years away, capping off a dominant campaign in the Access Bank Division One League Zone II.
The former top-flight side confirmed their promotion with an emphatic 3-0 victory over New Edubiase on matchday 29 — their 21st win of the season. The win took their tally to 66 points, comfortably securing top spot in the zone with one match to spare.
This achievement marks a major milestone for the club, whose consistent performances throughout the season have made them the undisputed best side in Zone II. With a well-balanced squad and tactical discipline, All Blacks have re-established themselves as a formidable force.
The Swedru-based club will wrap up their campaign with an away clash against PAC Academy, but their place in next season’s Ghana Premier League is already confirmed.
Their promotion, along with that of Hohoe United from Zone III, signifies a resurgence for two storied sides aiming to reintroduce themselves at the top level of Ghanaian football.
Meanwhile, the final promotion berth from Zone I is still undecided and will be determined when Real Tamale United face Eleven Wonders in a playoff showdown in Accra on Friday, May 30.
Both teams are chasing the final ticket to join Swedru All Blacks and Hohoe United in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
