Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo astonishingly, has heaped praises on the performance of his players despite losing at home to Nations FC last Sunday night.

The Eagles nipped on Asamoah Boateng's first half header to steal a vital 0-1 away win over the Porcupine Warriors in a crunchy GPL week 23 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.

This is Kotoko's fourth consecutive defeat in the league- an appalling display which has seen them dropped to the ninth position on the table with 32 points.

Reacting to the defeat, David Ocloo actually admitted it was a difficult encounter but also lauded the performance of his players in what he dubbed as an 'excellent output' despite tasting another loss on home soil.

"It was a very difficult game, a very difficult situation but I think today our boys came to the party. They were well organized and very discipline and they played according to our system and structure. It's unfortunate we couldn't get a goal but we played well and kudos to the boys."

"It's true we haven't been lucky but I think with hard-work, we will get that back. The players were excellent today."

Asante Kotoko are up for another huge task in the next round of matches when they travel to the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park to face Bechem United on Friday, April 5.
