Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Didi Dramani, has called for improvement from his players after their goalless stalemate with Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians travelled to the Kpando Sports Stadium for their Week 26 clash aiming to end a three-match winless run, but were left frustrated after failing to convert their chances despite a spirited display.

Hearts of Oak showed determination across the 90 minutes but lacked the clinical edge in the final third, ultimately settling for a point in a game they had hoped would reignite their push up the table.

In his post-match remarks, Dramani acknowledged the effort of his players but insisted that more work is needed to sharpen their performance.

“I think the players showed the right energy and commitment, but we still need to improve in certain key areas,” he said. “We’ve made progress as a team, but there are moments in games where we must do better. There’s still a lot to work on.”

The dropped points mean Hearts of Oak miss an opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Medeama SC.

They remain third on the table with 42 points, but their position in the top four is under threat, with other results across the weekend capable of reshaping the standings.
