Communications Director of Legon Cities, Kwame Dwomoh Agyemang says their primary goal is simply to stay in the league and get the chance to feature in the top flight next season.

The Royals are currently on the brink of relegation and are lurking on 17th in the 18-club league log, and are behind Accra Lions with seven points who are 16th on 32 points.

“At this point we are not looking further beyond the four matches that we are going to be playing in the Ghana Premier League; that’s where the focus is right now," Dwomoh told Citi Sports.

“As and when the season comes to an end, whatever decision we have to take as a club, with respect to player hiring and all of that, we will decide on that but at this point we are pretty much focused on...hopefully staying afloat."

With four games to end the 2024/25 GPL season, the Royals will go into their next four matches as wounded lions as they intend to escape relegation.
