Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has revealed that the team is full of confidence ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated Super Clash against Hearts of Oak, following their emphatic 4-2 victory over Karela United.
The Porcupine Warriors returned to winning ways in their Matchday 8 fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium, producing a dominant performance to bounce back from their CAF Confederation Cup exit. Goals from Hubert Gyau, Joseph Ablorh, and Peter Acquah Amidu sealed the convincing win for the Reds.
Speaking after the game, Kwadwo said the result has given the team renewed motivation going into the clash with their arch-rivals.
“It’s a massive win, and it will boost our morale. This victory will motivate us as we head into the Super Clash,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak extended their unbeaten run with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Basake Holy Stars at the AAK Park.
The two giants of Ghanaian football will face off in the Matchday 9 Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
