Accra Lions head coach, Ibrahim Tanko after the important win over Nsoatreman FC, has stated they deserved to win the game looking at how strongly they returned in the second half.

The Lions fought really hard in the second phase of the game to come from behind to beat the 'Efiri Tete Amanaso' outfit by 2-1 at WAFA Park in Sogakope in match-day 15 of the Ghana Premier League on Monday afternoon.

Kwabena Adu Meider scored the season's fastest goal and arguably the fastest in the league's history after finding the back of the net in just ten seconds from kickoff to hand the visitors the lead.

However, substitute Yahaya Mohammed was the hero in the second half for the host after coming from the bench to level things up on the 72nd minute, before completing his brace eight minutes later with a beauty to snatch all three points for his side.

Speaking on StarTimes, the ex- Black Stars assistant coach says they were completely off at half time but fought really good subsequently to secure the win.

"It was a game of two halves, we slept in the first half and woke up in the second half. Definitely we spoke to them at half time because you can be down after just 30 seconds when playing at home."

"But in the second half, we deserved to win, we had to score more goals, we had chances but the three points is good for us."

Accra Lions FC will play as guests to Dreams FC on Sunday, December 24, in Dawu.
