Paa Kwesi Fabin- head coach of Aduana Stars has described his side's performance against Kotoko as average and blamed the rain for their disappointing performance.
The 'Ogya' lads gave away a goal lead to succumb to a painful 2-1 loss to giants Asante Kotoko in match-week 27 on Sunday night in Kumasi.
Isaac Mintah put them in front on the 26th minute but goals from Steven Mukwala and Serge Zeze spurred the Porcupine Warriors to a sweet comeback win.
In an interview, the ex- Black Starlets gaffer believes they were wasteful upfront and got punished for. Additionally he added the rain wet tbe pitch and hugely affected their pattern of play.
"Our performance was average. I thought we should have won the game cos we created a lot of chances, we flopped them and then we got punished."
"I believe the rain destroyed our pattern of play and didn't help us at all. Yes I'm worried we couldn't convert our chances cos I thought we could have killed this game. We should have won by a lot of goals but that's football."
On their chances of winning the league, he said is still possible and they are still on course to achieve their third league success.
"Oh yes, we still leading three points, we going home and definitely we will win there so let's see what happens."
Aduana Stars despite the defeat are still at the summit of the league with 47 points and will return to Dormaa to host Bibiani Goldstars in GPL week 28.
