Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani has urged caution ahead of his side’s opening Ghana Premier League clash against debutants Hohoe United on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians enter the new campaign in buoyant mood, having lifted two pre-season trophies — the Democracy Cup and the GHALCA Top Four — while maintaining an unbeaten run in their preparations.
Despite the confidence in camp, Dramani insists Hearts must not take their opponents lightly.
“This is going to be a very tough encounter, very uncompromising, so we need to respect what they bring with their direct football,” Dramani told Hearts TV. “We will try to win the spaces and bring our identity to play in this encounter.”
Hearts of Oak, who finished fourth in the 2024/25 season, will be aiming for a strong start under Dramani, who was appointed in the off-season to restore the club’s winning culture.
