Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC will be aiming to end their season on a high when they face Hearts of Oak in their final league fixture on Sunday, May 24, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side will approach the game with confidence and a winning mentality, despite already sealing the league title.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Tanko admitted that previous meetings between the two sides have always been closely contested, but insisted Medeama will play their usual football in search of victory.

“Even when we played them here, we didn’t find it easy to beat them. It was a tactical game,” he said.

“Now we have won the league, so we are going there with no pressure. We are going to play our normal game with the hope that we will get our three points.”

The fixture comes as Medeama wrap up a successful campaign that has already seen them crowned champions of Ghana football.

After the trip to Accra, the Tarkwa-based side will return home for their coronation match against Basake Holy Stars on Wednesday, May 27, at the TnA Stadium, where they will officially celebrate their title triumph with supporters.
