Aduana FC captain Alex Boakye says the team is in high spirits as they prepare for Sunday’s crucial showdown with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Boakye expressed confidence in the squad’s mentality, highlighting their impressive run of four straight victories.
“For us, it’s another opportunity to compete, enjoy the game, and go for the win — nothing more, nothing less,” he said. “The mood in camp is good, the boys are confident, and we’re heading there with a clear and focused mindset.”
Aduana, who sit at the top of the Premier League table, have been one of the toughest teams to break down this season. They have conceded just four goals in seven matches while scoring nine, boasting one of the league’s strongest defensive records.
Their unbeaten streak stretched to five matches last weekend with a goalless draw against Medeama SC, building on four consecutive wins.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, remain the league’s only unbeaten side. The Porcupine Warriors have collected 15 points from seven matches and hold two games in hand that could significantly improve their position.
Historically, Kotoko have had the edge in this fixture at home, winning three of their last five meetings with Aduana in Kumasi — a psychological boost ahead of Sunday’s encounter.
