Kwaku Amponsah, a former chairman of the National Circles Council (NCC) which is the supporter's wing of Asante Kotoko has endorsed the Interim Management Committee’s (IMC) decision to relieve coach Prosper Narteh Ogum off his duties.

Ogum, 45, was sacked on Monday night by the Porcupine Warriors after a string of poor results and even more abysmal performances.

In a substantial reorganization, Kotoko opted for Karim Zito to oversee the team in a temporary capacity, pending the selection of a permanent replacement.

Commenting on Ogum's performance and the IMC decision to sack him, Chairman K5 as he is fondly called stated he has no reservations.

“The truth is one. It's best to part ways when things are not going as expected. We believed in Ogum and allowed him to continue this season despite our struggles last term, but it appears nothing changed under him. We as supporters are in full support of Ogum’s sacking," he told Lawson FM.
