Berekum Chelsea goalkeeper, Eric Ofori Antwi has reacted to their hard-earned point against Hearts of Oak, describing the match as a very tough contest at the Legon Stadium.
The Bibires exhibited a top-level performance to hold the Rainbow Club to a pulsating goalless draw in a crunchy GPL week 23 clash.
The ‘Phobians’ dominated most parts of the encounter, creating several goal-scoring chances but Eric Ofori Antwi stood firm with a top-class performance to keep his side in the game throughout
His exploits ensured Berekum Chelsea walked away with an important away point at a time when every result matters in their fight to move up the table.
Speaking after the 0-0 draw, the experienced goalkeeper admitted that facing a compact side like Hearts is always difficult and so they are satisfied with the outcome.
“The game was very tough. Playing against a compact team like Hearts of Oak is always not easy but at least a draw away is better for us, so we will go back and work towards our next home game,” he said.
The Bibires now sit in 15th position with 27 points and will host Young Apostles at the Golden City Park next as they aim to build on this positive defensive display.
