Togbe Afede XIV, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hearts of Oak, appeals to the club's supporters to refrain from unnecessary worry and embrace football as a unifying force between the management and fans.

Despite being one of Ghana's most successful football clubs, Hearts of Oak has faced challenges in recent seasons, prompting dissatisfaction among fans regarding the management's approach.

Addressing concerns at the club's 6th Annual General Meeting in Accra, Togbe Afede emphasizes the importance of solidarity and support from fans, regardless of any differences.

He underscores that football should bring joy and unity, even in the face of adversity, drawing parallels with how the sport unites communities, even in war-torn countries.

Highlighting the need for internal harmony, Togbe Afede urges Hearts of Oak fans to set aside internal conflicts and rally behind the club's endeavors.

“When at peace, you are happy, sometimes you can worry yourself unnecessarily, there are already enough problems out so let the football keep us"

He concludes by emphasizing that amidst existing challenges, football should serve as a source of happiness and cohesion, urging fans to channel their energies towards supporting the club rather than internal discord.

“Football is supposed to bring joy and that is why even in war-torn countries when there is football, they all unite. “Why is it that in Hearts of Oak, we fight our own?”
