Medeama SC striker, Jonathan Sowah has popped up on the radar of Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC- who per speculations, are very willing to battle other clubs for his signature.
The elite striker since joining Medeama SC in the middle of last season, has been very impressive and made an instant impact which quickly turned him into one of the fans favourite in Tarkwa.
Sowah, played a vital role in helping the Mauves and Yellows win the Ghana Premier League for the first time in their history, having scored 12 goals in 18 appearances.
In the ongoing 2023/24 season, the 24-year-old has six goals in all competitions so far; four in the league and three in the CAF Champions League.
Sowah, scored another full marks and was once again on the scoresheet when they faced the Tanzanian champions last Friday in match-day 3 of the Champions League.
He exhibited a stupendous performance, and his runs, skills, dribbling ability, positioning and incredible finishing caught the good eyes of Yanga who are very willing to battle other clubs for the service of the Black Stars forward.
His stellar performance has already caught the good eyes of clubs like Al Ahly, Sundowns, Pyramids FC, per reports, with official approach yet to be made by any of them.
Jonathan Sowah has made two appearances for the Black Stars so far, with his debut coming in a 3-1 win over Liberia in a friendly- a game he assisted Jordan Ayew. Also, he made a cameo appearance recently against Comoros in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
He will also hope to make coach Chris Hughton's final 26-man squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, slated for early next year in Cote D'Ivoire.
