
Hearts of Oak coach Martin Koopman publicly expressed his frustration and disappointment after his team's less-than-ideal start to the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League season, which led to a heated outburst directed at one of his players, Congolese striker Kashala Ramos.
The interim management committee of Asante Kotoko has successfully settled all outstanding payments owed to former head coach Seydou Zerbo.
Zerbo had previously threatened to take his case to FIFA if the club failed to compensate him for the termination of his contract in March 2023.
He has now confirmed the receipt of $9,000, equivalent to three months' worth of salary, from Asante Kotoko.
“I have now received all my monies. They have paid my salaries of three months. I have checked my account and the money is in there,” Seydou Zerbo told Kumasi-based Fox FM.
Zerbo expressed his gratitude to the club's management for resolving the issue and extended his best wishes to the team and its fans.
“Now there is no issue again and I want to thank the management of the team for paying what is due me. I wish the club all the best and for the fans I say big thank you” , he added.
Danlad Ibrahim, the goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, expressed his joy following the team's victory against Accra Lions on matchday four of the Ghana Premier League.
Accra Lions FC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko has described their defeat to Asante Kotoko as a very painful one and believes they at least deserved a draw in the game.
