Former Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz is reportedly in talks with the Bahrain Football Association over a possible return to international management.
The Portuguese tactician recently parted ways with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after the Black Stars suffered defeats in their opening two 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana lost 2-0 to Côte d’Ivoire in Bouaké before falling 4-2 to The Gambia in Accra, leaving the team without a point in Group C.
According to Queiroz’s agent, Tadeo Martins, discussions are ongoing with Bahrain regarding a potential appointment.
“Negotiations are currently underway with Bahrain national team,” Martins said.
The agent also dismissed reports linking Queiroz with Moroccan club Wydad AC.
Queiroz, who has managed several national teams including Ghana, Egypt and Iran, guided the Black Stars to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 before his short second spell in charge ended.
The experienced coach is now considering his next move, with Bahrain emerging as a possible destination.
