Borussia Dortmund travelled to the San Siro to put three goals pass Milan and pick all three points to Germany which propels them into the Round of 16 stage. With Milan scoring one was just meant to be a mere consolation.
Dortmund went into the game without a victory against any Italian club in Italy but when it mattered most they had to scrap that record and they did with a dominant win over rivals AC Milan.
The game started on an impressive note when Giroud missed from the spot on the 6th minutes but Marco Reus made mistake as he converted from the penalty spot four minutes later. Samuel Chukweze who came in to replace the injured Rafa Leão scored the equalizer having assisted by David Calabria on the 37th minutes mark.
The second half commenced with both teams trying to excite their fans with offensive and defensive approach. Marcel Sabitzer laid a pass to Jamie Bynoe- Gittens who converted expectedly well to put the black and yellow into the lead again on the 59th minutes. Marco Reus was not yet done with the game as he assisted Karim Adeyemi who was returning from injury to score ten minutes after the second goal as Dortmund cruise to the finish line. Mats Hummels of Dortmund received the Man of the Match award having organized the defensive shape of the team.
Dortmund with one game to spy against PSG have already booked their ticket into the next stage. Dortmund joins elite club like Bayern Munich, Champions Manchester City, Leipzig,Real Madrid, Lazio, Barcelona, Athletico Madrid with more teams to join.
A dominant display from Dortmund as they beat AC Milan in Milan. They face PSG next and a win or draw means they top the Group of Death. But above all, Dortmund are in the Round of 16.
