The workaholic defensive midfielder sustained a knock in RCD Mallorca game against Atlético Madrid in the Spanish La Liga Santander on Wednesday evening.

Ghana international Baba Iddrisu has picked up a fresh injury with just eleven days to the commencement of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Iddrisu, who is a key member of the senior national team of Ghana, limped off on the stroke of halftime in RCD Mallorca's home win over Atlético Madrid.

The 26-year-old walked straight into the tunnel before the whistle was blown by the referee to end the first half of the game at the Estadio Visit Mallorca.
 
The transformative midfielder was named in Ghana's provisional 55-man squad which released coach Otto Addo for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
 
Iddrissu, who has made 11 La Liga appearances for RCD Mallorca this season so far, is one of the highly-rated midfielders expected to be named in Ghana's final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
 
The Black Stars have been housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 
 
Ghana will begin their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign against European powerhouse Portugal on November 24 followed by games against Uruguay and South Korea.
