Accra Hearts of Oak Board Member, Vincent Odotei Sowah has reiterated the fact that Daniel Afriyie Barnieh deserves a spot in the Black Stars for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The former Member of Parliament believes the Black Meteors captain has exhibited all that is needed to warrant a place in the final list of Otto Addo's squad for the mundial later this month.
Afriyie Barnieh has left so much to be talked about for local players in making the final list for the World Cup after making it to the last three squad of Otto Addo's friendly games.
Speaking with the media, beleaguered Odotei Sowah says Barnieh has given it all to deserve a national team call up.
"The level has reached now, he needs to be rewarded (with a national team call up). He has shown he has the skill and temperament for big tournament so I support Barnieh to be in the Black Stars- Odotei Sowah says".
Daniel Afriyie Barnie did not feature for Hearts of Oak when they registered their first win of the 2022/23 season against Bibiani Gold Stars over the weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He captained the Black Meteors to eliminate Mozambique in the AFCON U-23 Qualifier at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
