The French Court has sentenced African football gaffer Claude Le Roy to two years in Prison. With Togo set to qualify for AFCON 2017 in Gabon,this news will be a blow to the West Africans as the Former DR Congo coach is also banned 18 months from all football activities starting this Friday.
According to a Cameroon Intelligence Report,the veteran coach was jailed following his involvement in some fraudulent deals in transfers when he was in charge of Racing Club of Strasbourg for a period of five years.
The former Indomitable lions coach has been quoted as saying he was not aware of any illegalities surrounding the deals.
According to CIR sources,the Coach's sentence will likely be confirmed and will have diverse effect on his contract with Togo
