Ex-Black Stars striker Baba Armando Adams says the Ghana Football Association (GFA) are nothing but incompetent body due to their failure in winning major titles since they took charge as the nation's football governing body.
The 36-year-old fleet-footed forward believes that the football governing body under Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi's administration has disappointed big time since they could not boast of any major achievement in terms of winning laurels for the country for over three decades now.
Baba Armando spoke to Kumasi-based radio station Angel FM. " What achievement has the FA brought to Ghana? he quizzed when expressing his exasperations on the honors brought to the nation by the Ghana FA.
He continued:"What trophy have they won for the nation since they took over the reign as the country's football governing body? They've disappointed big time. They're simply doing nothing at all.How many competition honors do they have to boost of since 1982 up to date? The FA are incompetent as simple as that."
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko marksman believes that due to the financial power that the Ghana FA has at their disposal, they should have brought the nation's 34 years trophyless jinx to an end.But for their extravagancies on funds, they don't even think of winning a single title for the nation let alone to even strategise things accordingly.
"This is the time the FA needs to do something by bringing us more honors now that the team is well financed.Instead of them to concentrate on how to win titles for the nation, that is the time that you see them incuring unnecessary expenses and wasting monies anyhow," he fumed.
"Achievement is to win a tournament trophy and ask yourself;how many times have we attepted to win the trophy? How many times have we reached to the finals and still they've nothing to pride themselves of in terms of tournament participation."
Baba Armando was part of the five stand-by players that made the cut into the Black Stars squad that participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
