New Edubiase will be returning back to their favourite home grounds in Bekwai at the Gyamfi Park where they were denied access to league game prior to the start of football season in the country because the pitch fell below the CAF licencing standard. The Bekwai Gyamfi Park has been refurbished to meet the requirements of CAF and FIFA to be able to accept football games.

Throughout the season, New Edubiase have been playing their home games at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium which hasn't been a relatively fair enough grounds for a home side for the Bekwai team.

Nevertheless, their move back to Bekwai this week against Medeama SC from Tarkwa in the 16th week fixture of the Ghana Premier League will be refreshing and welcoming to the New Edubiase fraternity.

New Edubiase, with youthful exuberance yet inexperienced squad, has been sluggish and somnolent in their approach to games this season, much more worrying in most of their home games mainly because it is not at their favourite grounds.

Languishing at the bottom of the league log has given New Edubiase so many to decipher, during the break, on how to survive relegation after eight years of existence in the league when the team has given several attempts of boycotting the league thus far in the season.

The break served as a revision to the club to revisit the drawing board and put thing in order to face the challenging second round of the Ghana league when everyone wants a respectable position in the league.

It is a blessing in disguise for New Edubiase, who have become the whipping boys in the league, to return back to their old grounds to battle a side coming from a defeat far away in Lubumbashi, DR Congo in their first match in the CAF confederations cup group stage match against TP Mazembe.

The Yellow and Mauves haven't felt badly in the league as they have married the league with African Club Competition which has always been herculean among African giants especially in the tail end of the first round winning five out of their last six games in the league. Medeama will be hoping to continue their good run in the league on Sunday at a grounds they will be finding it intimidating.

Having won the first encounter in Tarkwa by two goals to nil with Kwesi Donsu and Daniel Amoah on the scoresheet, it will be up in the air for them to produce a fruit highly unlikely to geminate. It will be a league start for New Edubiase as they have lost their last two home games to Dreams FC and Aduana Stars.

For them to keep hopes alive and relinquish a place in next season's top flight football in Ghana, Gyamfi Park on Sunday should be the starting point for them as against a wounded lion from African losing massively, 3-1.
