Real Madrid’s rising star, Jude Bellingham, has commended Black Stars head coach Otto Addo for his influential role in nurturing young players during their time together at Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham, who joined Dortmund at the age of 17, highlighted the club’s exceptional approach to integrating and developing young talent, singling out the Yellow and Blacks as leaders in this aspect within European football.

The England international praised Dortmund’s method of smoothly transitioning young players into the first-team squad, emphasizing the club’s ability to provide opportunities for growth while also maintaining a level of accountability through performance reviews.

"The way Dortmund integrates young players into the first-team squad is next level. There isn't a club in Europe that does it quite like them. The way they are pushed and can also be reeled back in. They review your performances," Bellingham was quoted as saying by The Guardian.

In particular, Bellingham lauded Otto Addo, who previously served as a transition coach at Dortmund, for his personalized support and guidance for each player, describing the Ghanaian as instrumental in their development.

"There is a person there for every player, especially Otto [Addo], the former Dortmund and Ghana striker, who has worked with the young players. He is great," he added.

Expressing his admiration for Addo, Bellingham previously referred to him as a legend in a social media post, highlighting the positive impact the coach had on the young talents at Dortmund.

Otto Addo’s friendly rapport with players and significant contributions to their progress have been recognized and appreciated by the Real Madrid star.
