Former Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has revealed that he worked in a tough and difficult atmosphere at the Ghanaian national team.
C.K Akonnor was axed after woeful results in 2021 before Serbian tactician Milovan Rajevac took over the team.
Milovan Rajevac led Ghana at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations played earlier this year but was also shown the exit after their embarrassing group stage elimination.
Otto Addo took over before leading Ghana to qualify for their fourth World Cup appearance in Qatar later this year.
Akonnor, the former Ghanaian player, has opened up on his struggles on the past revealing that even team selection was a headache.
Speaking to Joy News, he said he worked in a very difficult and tough atmosphere at the Black Stars.
"I just needed encouragement. No, I didn't get it. Even the atmosphere in which I worked was a very tough one, a difficult one," he said.
"It got to a time, I didn't know who to trust or who to speak to," he added.
