Ghana defender Alexander Djiku has returned to training after two weeks away from the pitch.

The talented defender picked up a knock in Strasbourg SC's French Ligue 1 game against Toulouse weeks ago which ended 2-2.

The 28-year-old defender lasted less than thirty minutes in the game when he got knocked on the 26th minutes.

He missed his side's game over the weekend against Marseille in a 2-2 draw game.

However, Djiku has raised the hopes of Ghana ahead of the World Cup in Qatar after returning to the training grounds on Wednesday.

He is expected to gain match fitness before the weekend to be able to feature against Ajaccio at the Stade François Coty at 4 PM ok Saturday.

Alexander Djiku has cemented his place in the Ghana Black Stars squad since making making his debut against Mali in 2021 and will make it to the mundial barring any unforeseen circumstances.
