Former Black Stars assistant coach, Maxwell Konadu currently works at Legon Cities, but has urged Ghanaians to rally behind the current technical handlers of the senior national team led by Otto Addo.

The Borussia Dortmund trainer per reports, has submitted his provisional man list to the GFA who are yet to release it into the public space with few days to the start of the World Cup.

Maxwell Konadu- who was part of Ghana's technical team at the last World Cup in 2014, has stated we should support the coaches to make the right decision with less criticisms since he believe that will play a vital role in the team's success at the Mundial.

"We just have to be patient and leave this selection thing to the technical handlers. They are in charge now, and let’s support them and make sure they make the right decision."

“Whatever decision they take, we must support them because it is Ghana first and not any individual,” Konadu said in an interview during the “Walk with the Legends” initiative by the Ghana Football Association and the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana.

Ghana is housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and two time world champions Uruguay.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup starts on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Qatar.
