Medeama SC got back to winning ways with a 1-0 win over Swedru All Blacks in their Matchweek 10 game at the TnA Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Budding forward Kingsley Braye scored the only goal of the match in the 38th minute to give the Yellow and Mauves all three points.
The win was important for Medeama, who were looking to bounce back after drawing 1-1 with Asante Kotoko last Sunday.
Playing in front of their home fans, the Tarkwa side were determined to get back to winning ways against a Swedru All Blacks team that arrived with a strong run of form.
The Black Magicians had recorded four straight league wins, two draws and three defeats before Sunday's match.
Medeama took their chance in the 38th minute when Braye found the back of the net to give the hosts a 1-0 lead before half-time.
Swedru All Blacks were unable to find an equaliser as Medeama held on to their lead until the final whistle.
The victory gives the Yellow and Mauves a big lift as they continue their fight for the league title.
Medeama remain at the top of the Ghana Premier League table with 21 points, while Swedru All Blacks have dropped to eighth place with 14 points.
