Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko is on the verge of securing a key addition to their midfield, with reports suggesting that Emmanuel Antwi is set to join the team.

The move is part of the club’s strategy to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Emmanuel Antwi is expected to undergo a medical examination in Kumasi tomorrow, signaling a significant step towards his official inclusion in the Asante Kotoko squad.

Accra Great Olympics has agreed to release the player following successful negotiations, allowing for his transfer to Asante Kotoko. This decision comes after both clubs reached a mutual understanding.

The three-year deal with Antwi is set to be officially announced by Asante Kotoko once all necessary procedures are finalized.

In light of a disappointing season that saw Asante Kotoko finish in sixth place without any trophies, the club is focused on revamping the squad for the upcoming campaign.

This includes releasing eighteen players and potentially loaning out others, while offering new contracts to some remaining players.
