Hearts of Oak's dream of defending the FA Cup title was shattered by Dreams FC in the round of 32 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Dreams FC commenced the fixture on a good note as they capitalized on Richmond Ayi's goalkeeping blunder snatch the lead in the opening minutes of the game.
Agyenim Boateng brilliantly opened the score for the ‘Still Believe’ lads with a fine strike after Ayi failed to lay a descent pass to Zakaria Yakubu on the 8th minute of the game.
Hearts of Oak enjoyed majority of possession after conceding in the early minutes of the game but they failed to break into the backline of Dreams FC.
Winger Enoch Asubonteng came close to level the score for the home side but he was tripped by Samuel Arthur in the 18-yard box of Dreams FC, which the referee waved on with no foul.
The Dreams FC defense stood resolute at the back to deal with every inroads from the upfront of Hearts of Oak to end the first half with a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Dreams FC controlled the game and their backline continued to be resolute at the back denying the Phobians from levelling the score.
Hearts of Oak came close through Kwadwo Obeng Junior to grab his debut goal in the competition on the 57th minute but his strike went wide.
After the hour-mark, Dreams FC dominated the game with most of the goal glaring opportunities falling for David Van Dijk and Ali Huzaif but the duo couldn't extend the lead for the visitors.
Hearts of Oak kept pushing for the leveller in the dying embers of the game with a spot-kick awarded to them after Obeng Junior was fouled in the box.
The Phobians failed to make it count from the spot on the 98th minute as the fixture ended in a 1-0 win for Dreams FC.
