The former King Faisal gaffer has hinted that he is staying at the club despite winning the Timber Giants their first league title.

Samartex have just claimed their first Ghana Premier League title but coach Nurudeen Amadu admits he "doesn't know what it means for the future".

The 53-year-old, though, has confirmed he's remaining at Samartex, but has, yet, came out with a comment that has raised eyebrows as he's celebrating his team's title triumph.

Amadu has claimed that, despite interest and speculation linking him with moves elsewhere, that he felt remaining in his current role was the best thing he could do. He went ahead to state that there was more work to do at Samartex.

He said: “All things being equal, I am staying at Samartex and to steer affairs for the upcoming season. If some offers come, why not, we are always businessmen but for now I’m with Samartex.”

The tactical brainiac masterminded the team's first-ever league triumph, which was sealed with a 1-0 win over Bibiani Goldstars in Match-Week 32 fixture.

Samartex won the league with 58 points and are currently harbouring hopes of also claiming the CAF Champions League in their maiden outing.
