Braydon Manu, German-born of Ghanaian descent, is excited to return in action and has revealed the love he has for European giants Real Madrid but admitted to himself he is far from achieving that dream at the moment.
The Darmstadt 98 attacker played an instrumental role to finally have his Bundesliga dream come true after contributing 14 goals [7 goals, 7 assists] in 28 appearances to help them emerge champions of the Bundesliga II.
Having gotten promotion into the German topflight, the 27-year-old was sadly hindered with series of injuries and setbacks which saw him make only four appearances in the Bundesliga with his club once again being relegated.
Speaking in an interview on 3Sports, the mercurial wideman described his injury period as the most disheartening part of his life and hopes to stay fully fit in the upcoming season so he can enjoy playing once again.
He added he wishes to play for the fifteen-time European champions in the near future before he retires.
"Thank God that I am fit again, and I have lots of plans. The best option would be to play for Real Madrid, but that’s far away. Let’s see what the lovely God has for me because I put all my faith in his hands," he told 3Sports.
"Yeah, of course, every time. Last season I played a really good first round, so they had contact with the GFA about the World Cup. The contact was always there," he asserted
Braydon Manu's current contract with Darmstadt 98 will expire at the end of this month and is set to seek a new challenge elsewhere
