Anderlecht new signing Dennis Appiah wants to excel with the Belgian giants in his maiden season.
The French-born of Ghanaian descent joined the Red and Purple lads from Ligue 1 side Caen.
The 24-year-old defender is eyeing for an impressive form for the upcoming season in the Belgian top-flight side.
"Actually, I was trained as a central defender before being placed sometimes on the left flanks and at times on the right flanks. My top speed is a weapon. Still, I consider myself as a defensive centre-back . The role really suits me more and that's where i normally had a good game when i am handed that role in game matches." Appiah told Kickgh.com in an exclusive interview from his base in Belgium.
"I'm confident of excelling with my club this coming season and i will do well to improve on my performance before the commencement of the league season. I know that I will be aware of the tough and soft matches if the season gets underway, but i know i will prove my worth with Anderlecht," he added.
Appiah was a member of the French U-20 team that placed fourth at the 2011 FIFA U-20 world cup.
