The ex-Kumasi Rainbow FC forward Frederick Ofori Acheampong has joined a Croatian second-tier club NK Dugopolje on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old youngster moved to his new club during the January transfer window for the 2015-2016 season.

Frederick has started life well and has featured in some league games for his side during the second half of the season.

 

In an exclusive interview with Kickgh.com from his base,the promising yougster said; things were difficult at the initial stage due to language barrier,but now he's adapted well into the club's system.

He added that, all that he is praying and hoping for in the next season is to stay fit and maintains his top form as he continues with his strives.

 

He told Kickgh.com: "It wasn't easy at all because of the language barrier at the beginning.Though things have changed as I'm now ok with the system of play with my club."

"I'm hoping to stay fit and retains my form level by biginning the next league of the season on a high note.I played in some games during the second round and I don't think my performance was bad, as my club too are also happy with my outputs in the second half of the season with the little games I've played so far,"

"All that I'm yearning for is to begin the upcoming season with a very good fresh blood and help my team to finish in a respectable position on the league log.Actually,I didn't started the league with my colleagues during the start of the league and it was due to a certain setback beyond the control of me and my agent.But now,I am really happy to join my team-mates as everything is moving on well for me," he explained.

 

 

Federick Acheampong is the younger brother of Anderlecht's winger Frank Acheampong,and a playing mate to Nasiru Mohammed of BK Hacken at Rainbow FC in kumasi.
