Ghanaian midfielder, Furkan Ahmed just last Sunday helped Hatta Sports Club emerge champions of the UAE First Division League and has expressed a profound gratitude to everyone that made this happen.
The Tornadoes were confirmed champions after playing out to a 1-1 stalemate on Saturday with Dubai City at the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium and have now made a sensational return into the country's topflight.
The 22 year old enjoyed a season long loan from UAE topflight side Emirates FC where he won his first after playing a vital role in their triumph two seasons ago.
The former Amansie Babies midfielder really enjoyed his game at the new club, having featured greatly and had an impressive loan spell which could warrant him a permanent stay in Hatta.
In a short video, Furkan summarized the long season with so much elation after finishing as a league holder and added by thanking the club and also everyone that supported him throughout the campaign.
"Ahmed Furkan is my name. I'm from Ghana and I play for Hatta Club in UAE. I'm very happy to win the league and thanks to everyone for the support."
"I want to also say a big thank you to the management and coaches of Nady Hatta for the confidence and believe to make me a part of this success."
Abdullah Mesfer's men finished the league as champions with 75 points- amassed from twenty-one wins, six draws and four loses to mark their return into the Gulf League after two years and had a royal invitation from one of their owners Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum- who also happens to be the son of the ruler of Dubai.
Furkan Ahmed after the season is yet to decide as to whether to stay permanently or return to his parent club.
