The 20-year-old forward has completed his loan switch to the Norwegian top division campaigners ahead of the start of the new football season
Ghanaian striker Jalal Abdulai has joined Norwegian Eliteserien side Molde FK from Swedish Allsvanskan side lF Elfsborg on a loan deal, the club have confirmed.
The Ghana-prospect attacker is linking up with the Aker Stadion outfit on a season-long loan move, with the terms expected to be made permanent after its expiration at the end of the 2025-26 campaign in the Norwegian top-flight.
An official confirmation over the loan deal of the former lnter Allies man read: ''Jalal Abdullai (20) comes with a sense of purpose and big ambitions – and has signed a deal that includes an option to buy. Jalal is a familiar face to many Molde fans. He started both games for Elfsborg in the UEFA Europa League play-offs in August. Now he is ready to contribute in blue and white.
Right after sealing his transfer loan switch, the 20-year-old had this to tell his new club via the club's official website: ''When my agent said I was going on loan to Molde, my first thought was: Wow! I was so happy! When I met Molde in the qualifiers, I thought they were very good. I'm not a dribbler, but I'm aggressive, fast and strong. All defenders should know that it's difficult to face me.''
He added on his expectations ahead of the start of the new football season: ''First and foremost, I want to help the team win the league. That's the most important thing now. I hope to score some goals for the club. I'm not a person who likes to lose – I always want to win! That's the kind of person I am.''
Prior to his transfer move, he made 28 game appearances by netting 6 goals for IF Elfsborg across all competitions during the 2024-25 campaign.
Jalal is yet to be cap-tied by the Ghana Senior Men's National Team at the international level.
