As your trusted football website Kickgh.com earlier reported, the young shot-stopper has received a call-up to the senior national team of Ghana for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad will be flying to Black Stars camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Sunday evening, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

The 19-year-old has been rewarded a spot in the Black Stars final list for the 2022 World Cup following his exploits at Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League for the past two seasons.
 
He led the Porcupine Warriors to the league title last season and also played a pivotal role in helping the Black Galaxies qualify for the 2023 CHAN tournament- having missed out in the last three editions. The Sunyani-born goalie also powered the Black Meteors to the next qualifying round after edging out Mozambique just recently.
 
Danlad, who guided Asante Kotoko to record a 1-0 away win over Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday, jetted off to Accra via the Kumasi Airport on Sunday afternoon.
 
Kickgh.com can also exclusively report that Ibrahim Danlad and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of Hearts of Oak will leave the shores of Ghana tonight to join the Black Stars camp in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
 
The duo were the only home-based players to make the final cut of Otto Addo's squad list for the mundial which will be confirmed on Monday, November 14, 2022 
 
Ghana is housed in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea. The 2022 FIFA World Cup will commence on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
 
The Black Stars will wrap up their preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup with an international friendly against Switzerland on November 17 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
