Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim has been handed a call up into the Black Stars for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, per reports in the indigenous media.
The campaign to lure him into the final squad has been on since, following his consistent performance with Asante Kotoko and our various national teams.
He led the Porcupine Warriors to the league title last season and also played a pivotal role in helping the Black Galaxies qualify for the 2023 CHAN tournament- having missed out in the last three editions. He also powered the Black Meteors to the next qualifying round after edging out Mozambique just recently.
The 19 year old goalie made coach Otto Addo's 55 provisional man list and is most likely he together with Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will be the only home-based players to make the final cut which will be confirmed on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Ghana is housed in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea. The 2022 FIFA World Cup will commence on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
