The former Egyptian shot-stopper Nader El - Sayed says his senior national team side will qualify ahead of the Blacks Stars of Ghana in the group E fixtures.

The 43-year-old retired glovesman is sanguine the Pharaohs of Egypt will standout tall among all their counterparts for the 2018 World Cup solitary spot in Russia.

Ghana defeated the seven-time African Champions at this same stage for the final round of qualifiers to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil following a 7-3 aggregate scoreline in both legs.

However, the former Zamalek man, now believes his side will not suffer from this same heavy defeat from the West African giants, adding their opponents  will see a different team squad which are well prepared to face any of them squarely.

"I'm sure that, the first team will be either Egypt or Ghana, but I've respect for Uganda and Congo as they equally have good teams with better players in the group," he told Sunyani-based radio station Moonlite FM.

"The team that suffered humiliation of course which was very painful and rather unfortunate in the hands of Ghana at this same stage, will not be the same team that will play against them this time round,"

"We've formed a good team with very good players which are all hungry for success and have the potential to win laurels for Egypt,"

"Each and everyone of them is well prepared and would like to fight very hard for their national team,"

"I think now, Egypt have a very good chance to qualify to the World Cup in this group, even though Ghana can also qualify out of the group."

Egypt have been housed in group E alongside Uganda,Congo and Ghana.
