The Black Satellites of Ghana earlier today engaged in a high profile friendly against Belgian topflight side OH Leuven in a game they got pummelled by 6-2 in their first game in quiet a while now.

The Satellites had been off action since they regrouped in March to clinch Gold in the 13th African Games which was hosted in Accra.

The team left the shores of Ghana late last month for this tour having started from France where the team engaged in series of training sessions but didn't involve in any game as reported earlier.

However, the Satellites European tour continues in Belgium where they called for a test against the Jupiler Pro League side but was really a tough one having conceded six goals but managed to net two at least to draw some few positives from the game.

Moroccan international Youssef Maziz netted twice for Leuven, coupled with other goals from Nachon Nsingi, Siebe Schrijvers and Congolese international Yohan Mboko who also had a brace.

Ghana also benefitted from an own goal scored by Christ Souanga and another from a goalkeeping clanger.

Coach Desmond Offei whiles they engage in series of training sessions and high profile friendly matches, will take the opportunity to access the performance of all the players and to also patch up all cracks in the team before they return.

The main motive behind this almost a month European tour, is to have the team adequately prepared and ready for the upcoming 2024 WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship which comes off in months time.
