Accra Lions record a crucial 1-0 win at Dreams FC in GPL match-week 4 to grind their third consecutive victory in the ongoing campaign.

Both teams started on a lower note, with no any explosive attacks made, as they only exchange passes among themselves in their own half.

The visitors however had their first attempt on the 9th minute after Baba Apiiga crafted in a decent cross to locate Frederick Asante in the box but goalkeeper Lord Bawa Martey came out to rescue the situation.

Black Galaxies forward Agyenim Boateng on the  22nd minute nipped on a goalkeeping error and nearly scored but his strike was cleared out just on the line.

The homesters came so close to scoring again after the tormentor Ali Huzaif jumped high to connect Mohammed Abubakar's cross but his towering header was tipped off brilliantly by goalkeeper Owusu for a wasted corner kick.

Back from recess, once again both teams returned timidly with no any dangerous incursions made.

Dreams FC looked dominant, having much of the ball but always struggle to penetrate their way through the travellers backline.

And finally with just 13 minutes to full time, Accra Lions scored what looked like a very huge goal for them to go in front.

Substitute Youssouf Simpara strike off the goalpost and Shawkan Mohammed at the right place and at the right time, bundles into the net to hand his side the lead on the 77th minute.

The 'Still Believe' outfit tried as much as possible to get the equaliser in the last ten minutes but all proved futile.

Accra Lions leave Dawu with a huge three points to mark thier third consecutive victory after wins over Karela United and Tamale City.
