The Black Meteors will battle it out with DR Congo in the third and final round of the 2023 TotalEnergies CAF U-23 Championship qualifiers after edging out Mozambique earlier today.

Ghana completed a 4-1 on aggregate win over the Junior Mambas, with a 2-0 victory in the second leg earlier today in Kumasi thanks to goals from Simba Sylvester and skipper Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

They will now clash with the young Leopards of DR Congo who ended Algeria's Paris 2024 dreams with 5-4 on aggregate win despite losing 3-1 earlier today in Algiers, having won the first leg 4-1 in Kinshasa.

After making it to the last edition in 2019 in Egypt, coach Ibrahim Tanko's men will also hope to achieve same mark this time and subsequently qualify to the Olympic Games after eighteen year abeyance.

The first/second leg of the final round of qualifiers are expected to be honoured between March 20-28, 2023.

The main competition will be staged in Morocco in June next year.
